Kathmandu valley is the first arrival destination to most of the tourist who comes to Nepal. When you talk about Kathmandu Valley, one thing comes out of the most people’s minds, a city full of temples. Every year many people come to visit these Ancient temples and many comes for Adventure tourism. But in the recent years, it has gained a reputation as being a holy destination for mountain bikers.
The Kathmandu Valley is surrounded with over 2000m hills in every direction with some of the most epic nature trails. But these jewels of valley are certainly not easy to find.
The trail consists some of the finest single tracks around the valley. We will take you for a ride on the famous trails in the north. Such as Scar route, Heavens trail and Helipad in the Shivapuri National Park. Then we will travel to Phulchoki on south and super trails of Nagarkot on east to Bhatte Danda. Nagarkot is probably most popular hill station in Kathmandu Valley. And at the end to the Chitlang on the west. You can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains.
This trip is carefully designed for the people who relatively have a short time in Kathmandu. But wish to mountain bike in these awesome trails. It is ideal for 3-4 day power-packed ride. We will have a private shuttle to lift us on most of the sections of this trip to avoid some of the longer climbs.
The Kathmandu Valley is simply a playground for the mountain bikers, who loves Enduro.
FAQ
What bike should I bring for this trip, if I cannot bring my own bike, is it possible for rental?
An All Mountain or Enduro full suspension bike, fork travel from 140-150/160 would be ideal and lots of fun to play, but a good Hard-tail even with a 100mm-120mm fork can always do a job.
If you are planning not to bring along your own bike on this trip, we can arrange you a suitable bike for rental. The price may vary upon the quality and nature of a bike; please write to us for price and details. However, we always encourage you to bring your own bike.
What kind of accommodation would it be during the trip? Wi-fi?
Comfortable hotels in Kathmandu and Nagarkot and well-located, comfortable resort and guest houses on trails in the hills around the valley, with hot shower and private bathroom. Free wifi and the data connection will work in the most of the areas.
Dietary Gluten/Allergy issues
The International food/cuisine will be served along with local delicacies in various restaurants & bars in Kathmandu and Nagarkot, perhaps just a little less choice in some of the hotels in the hill areas. Please, let us know that if you have any kind of diet request or you are allergic to certain things. We will try our best to facilitate such kind of requests.
Altitude and Acclimatize
You will be spending your holidays in between 1300m to max 2700m above sea level, so there won’t be any issue with High altitude acclimatization.

10lt, 12lt backpack is suitable for this trip.

Safety Insurance
Mountain biking is an adventure sport where risk and hazard may happen in no time. We carry the first aid kit with us and do the basic first aid.
A sufficient medical travel insurance is mandatory and must arrange prior the trip from the country of origin. Your insurance should be able to cover all the medical expenses, including Emergency Helicopter Evacuation, if unwanted incidents occurs.
You are on your holiday and so we’d like you to have fun as much as possible and in the same time we would like you to spend a trouble free holiday while mountain biking in Nepal.
